My Light, My love

Darkness shaped my existence.

Only flickers of light and so inconsistent.

Your light glowed so fiercely bright.

Burning my protective shield at sight.

My soul now shines just like the moon

Thanks to you.

Your powerful light exposed me.

Revealing cracks and craters in me.

Light beaming from scabbed wounds.

Showing all of my deep holes.

My hands, shadowed by its shine.

I begin to peel away this armor of mine.

Noticing the lightness of me.

Excited at the bright light I see.

I rip away each steel piece.

My golden armor is now at peace.

I'm thankful for its barrier of protection, but

My soul was longing for its detection.

Dormant at birth now an unwrapped gift.

Shining quite fiercely, just like you did.

Your reflective light burned me, yet

Saved my soul's misery.

Creating a victory.
